If you're converting old tyres then you might find there's holes in
the tyres where you've had punctures. The Wheel Milk will usually
seal these just fine, after a bit of initial bubbling. You might
want to repair the holes though. Fine, unmount the tyre and use
standard puncture repair glue & patches to repair the holes from
the inside. We've ridden tubless with patches for months, hard, with
no issues.
So far we've got the tyres inflated with no sealant. They're seated
on the rims so we'll let the air out, add sealant and pump back up.
Let the air out. Gordon's favourite job!
Give the bottle a really good shake to get all the wee teeny
helps-it-seal bits mixed in. Chop the end off the JRA bottle.
Get the valve out. I'm using Stan's tool from JRA, but pliers does
it. It just screws off. For Schraeders you need a tool, either this
£5 Stan's tool or a 50p valve cap tool. JRA has them, fine people.
Get the JRA WM bottle in, then...
...rotate the wheel and squirt about half the bottle in GENTLY. You
want the gunk inside, not out. And you want the bead to stay on the
rim. Re-insert the valve core. Inflate to 60 PSI. Ta-da!
